At this site, the seller is the maker… that would be me, Carol! I love the texture of clay and the ability to basically take a ball of mud and make something with it. However, the unpredictability of creating with clay is a constant challenge and I am still in the process of learning to celebrate the unexpected! One of my first ceramics teachers, Robbie Wood, had the saying that there is no crying in ceramics, drama is down the hall (and that was literally true). I now have a saying that the only thing you are sure to get in ceramics is EXPERIENCE! Lots of practice helps sway the odds in the artist’s favor, but there is a reason some people create little kiln gods and will ask, “Well, was it Christmas or Halloween?” when you open that kiln after a big glaze firing. I am changing, my art is changing and my web site is changing – come visit me again!
